Abstract
Six different size fractions of kaolinite from Rajmahal origin were prepared by gravity sedimentation technique. The different fractions were characterized by chemical analyses, particle sizes, surface areas, FTIR spectra, DT A and XRD studies. Cation exchange capacity and zeta potential of the different fractions were measured and pH titrations of the fractions were carried out to study the role of particle size on the electro-kinetic properties.
