The deposit of galena which forms the subject of this contribution is situated about t a mile to the east of village Jotri which is about 3 miles north-east of Pahari (27°30' : 77°12'). Pahari is a tahsil head quarter of Bharatpur State in Rajputana. and lies at a distance of 14 mile3 due east from Kaman and is connected with a big Pacca road. Kaman can be reached easily either from Muttra or from Koshi railway stations from where it is at a distance of 40 miles and 36 miles respectively. From both the stations upto Kaman and thence upto Pahari the road is good and metalled. The country round Jotri is undulating and hilly, the hills being in the form of ridges running almost parallel in south-west to north-east direction and attaining the maximum height of 1200' above sea level. The country is devoid of vegitation and a few shrubs here and there ara the only ones to be seen. The galena deposits occur in tha western slope of one of these ridges lying due east of the villaga Jotri.
