| Abstract |
| The Indian Ceramic Society has made considerable progress
ever since its headquarters were shifted to the Banaras
Hindu University. The Society has two local sections,
one at the Banaras Hindu University and the other at the
Osmania University, Hyderabad. It maintains a museum_and
a library and publishes a quarterly journal. It has rendered
valuable services to the Ceramic Industry of our country. The
University has quite rightly laid great stress on technlcal
education and it is due to the foresight of the great found,er
of this University that we have today a separate Faculty of
Technology with four Colleges imparting technical education
in its several branches. The Department of Ceramics is one
of them and the Society owes much to the teachers in the
Department. |
