| In order to have good quality lciln furniture having
maximum thermal conductivity and resistance, high refractoriness
under load, good mechanical strength, silicon carbide was chosen
as the base material for their p1·oduction. Silicon carbide from
Messrs. Carborundum Co., Niagra Falls, U.S.A.. was used
with different bonds. Kiln furniture so mt~de was tested for
various properties. |
