Abstract
Productivity implies the full, proper and efficient utilisation of the available resources of men, machines, materials, money etc. Increase in productivity means avoidence of waste in every type and in every sphere. The manufacturers always attempt to effect economy by avoidance of wastage and proper handling of the raw materials, and fuel etc. But such efforts are not poss;ble in the case oflabour input because of the human elements involved. The same is also the case with the capital input.
