Abstract
Thermal decomposition characteristics of bauxite minerals were
studied thermogravimetrically and the energies (E) of activation of
the decomposition processes were calculated by Flynn and Walls
method. The observed values showed wide variations due to compositional
differences. Accessory minerals associated with the ores
influenced dehydroxylation reactions.
