Abstract
With the advancement in the science and technology of glass, many new glasses have been developed which have unique properties and satisfy the growing demands of human needs. Photosensitive glasses are certain glasses in which permanent photographic images can be produced on exposure to ultraviolet and subsequent heattreatment. In photosensitive glasses, the portions exposed to ultraviolet light dissolve more quickly in acids than the unexposed portions of the glass. Utilising these properties of the glass, holes of almost any size and shape can be etched in the material, up to 50000 holes per 6.5 sq em. Fotoform and potoform glass-ceramic products are finding expanding uses in electronics and fluidic devices. Photochromic
