| Abstract |
| Studies on development and property evaluation of extra-white
glass tiles In LI20-P20 5-SI02 system with additions of CaO, MgO
and B20 3 have been described. The glass possessed fair working
characterlstks and corrosion of sillimanite pots during melting
was Insignificant. On controlled heat-treatment, glasses pos.iesslng
high mechankal strength and good resistance to attack of acid
and alkaline water were obtained. The principal crystal phases
appearing at crystallisation temperature were indentified as
lithium meta- and dl-slllcate. |
