Abstract
Potassium di-chromate was used to neutralize the acid carried over by the ware in the pickling process and was found to give very good results so far as freedom from defects, adherence to the base metal and finish o( the ground coat were concerned. The expulsion of the adsorbed hydrogen was very evident and served as an indication of the completeness of neutralization. A definite improvement over the usual neutralizer which is a weak solution of sodium carbonate and borax was noted.
