Abstract
The oil as fuel for the industrial furnaces is roughly of fifty years of age, but the rapid growth and development is only amazing. Starting its history for the successful run in locomotive engines and marine boilers, nowadays it covers the whole in· dustrial furnaces in human civilization. The latest application is probably to the Glass and Ceramic. industries.
