Abstract
Brown is a mixed colour composed of three primary colours yellow, red and blue ; with different proportions of these three colours different shades of brown are obtained. For ceramic purposes we can use only those materials that can stand very high temperatures. There are only very few substances that can serve this purpose and they are oxides of certain metals.
