Abstract
U. P. has almost the monopoly of glass sands.
Systematic study on sands from various places
in U.P. were taken up with respect to (z) sieve
analysis and ( 2) presence of colouring oxides such
as Cr2 0 3 , Fe20 3 and Ti02 • Improvement of the
sands on washing has been studied.
